Bakong temple is a late 9th century Hindu temple built by the king Indravarman I of the Khmer empire. Bakong temple was the central temple of the ancient town of Hariharalaya which, at that time, was the capital of the Khmer empire. Bakong temple is in the modern day town of Roluos, Cambodia, and is part of the Angkor Archaeological Park.
